軟體主要是根據Wine計畫所開發出來，該計畫致力於模擬Windows程式所使用的指令
，屬於開放原始碼運動之一。在對專訪中表示該公司的產品還加入一些專屬軟體，
例如美化字形檔、簡化軟體安裝流程等。

Much like a sneak preview of a movie, the LindowsOS Sneak Preview will
hopefully give you insights into where we are going with this product and
give you a chance to tell us what worked for you and what didn't as well
as what you liked and what you did not. But just as a sneak preview is not
a full movie and is put out before the complete movie is ready, this Sneak
Preview of LindowsOS is not complete. There are known and unknown
deficiencies and we don't recommend running your important work on it
quite yet. Your help will assist us in identifying some of the larger
technical issues and more importantly you can give us your perspective on
the direction we are moving.

LindowsOS Features To Try Out
There's some great features in LindowsOS that make it a unique solution
for people.

You'll notice that much of your Windows?information that you depend on (
such as your email and web favorites) is ready to go in your LindowsOS
email program and browser.
Even your wallpaper is copied from Windows?to LindowsOS!
Because LindowsOS and Windows?are on the same hard disk, you can browse
and use all of your files and folders in My Documents or anywhere on your
hard disk.

But perhaps best of all in your Launch menu you will see listed "Windows?
Programs" that you can run under LindowsOS.

Remember, this is just a Sneak Preview, so not all programs will run
flawlessly. But our hope is that many of your favorites will operate with
the speed and functionality you have become accustomed to and make LindowsOS
a productive and friendly experience. Be sure and try some of the programs
listed to see how they work.
